    Between the 23-25th of September 2022 the Keloke Bachata Festival certification event will take place in the capital of bachata Dominicana in Scandinavia, in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Before this amazing event in the DR between the 25th of February and 9th of March, we will also give a certification course. Combine the two and you’ll get the full Dominican treatment!

BASIC REQUIREMENTS TO ATTEND THE COURSE

 

  • Dance at an advanced level in Bachata Dominicana

  • Minimum 1 year teaching experience is not required but preferred

  • Basic level of understanding English or Spanish

  • Know if you will teach alone or with a dance partner

  • Wish to respect and promote Bachata Dominicana and follow the methodology and structure given during the course

  • Be open to feedback from the Bachata Dominicana RD team that may help you get further in your journey with us

15 HOURS OF TRAINING

  • Fundamentals of Bachata Dominicana

  • Fundamentals of Merengue music and dance

  • Social dance experience and guided practice to try out acquired skills

  • History of the origin and evolution of Bachata

  • Intro to the world of music; rhythms and live instruments

  • Intermediate/Advanced steps, figures, body movement, techniques and synergy in partner dancing

  • Fundamental skills to become a resourceful instructor

EXTRA MATERIAL

  • You will receive a dossier with all of our teaching material and already prepared and structured classes

  • Marketing session on how to promote yourself as an official instructor

  • Consultation on how to communicate with potential clients for teaching gigs and dance events of any size (discussing contracts, terms and rates)

  • Ongoing tips on keeping up with trends available to all instructors in our network

INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATE

  • After examination you will receive a certificate stating that you are an official instructor in Bachata Dominicana

  • You will be added to the wall of official instructors on our website

  • Access to our private community for Bachata Dominicana instructors
